We are honored to open Kaarnavilla's first art exhibition in connection with Kaarnavilla's store on Wednesday 13 November 2024. The walls of Kaarnavilla's exhibition space are filled with wonderful paintings by Sirpa Järvinen. In connection with the exhibition, it is also possible to buy small exhibition souvenirs in the form of postcards, magnets and other small items.
The surrounding nature as inspiration
Read Sirpa Järvinen's introduction below:
" I am a visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer from Tuusula. My inspiration comes from the surrounding nature.
I was born in Kerava in 1973 and grew up in an ordinary working-class home in a neighborhood apartment building. I settled in Tuusula with my own family in 1998. Photography of nature and interest in creating art have been inherited in my family.
My love for colors has grown stronger with age and my works often reflect nature's influence on my mind. In my works, I combine fantasy, fairy tales and nature experiences.
In my working life, I have always been in some way connected to art, making art, art education, photography and image processing. My office is located in Tuusula, on the top floor of my own home.
